Plumber in Kitisuru, Nairobi
We cover Kitisuru including New Kitisuru, Lower Kabete, Kyuna, Loresho, Loresho Ridge, Spring Valley, Thigiri. Off Lower Kabete Road and Peponi Road. Valley-side plots have steep private driveways; we check turning and gradient before committing a rig or exhauster.
What is different about plumbing in Kitisuru
- Kitisuru's ridge terrain often puts the storage tank below part of the house, so gravity feed alone will not serve the upper floors no matter how large the tank is.
- New Kitisuru plots on the valley side sit well below their road connection, which means a lift pump is needed before storage rather than only after it.
- Loresho Ridge properties nearby face the same fall problem, and the correct answer is a two-stage pump arrangement rather than one oversized unit working against the head.
Plumbing in Kitisuru
Kitisuru is built across a ridge and the valleys either side of it, and that topography decides almost everything about how water moves on these plots. Nowhere else we cover is the terrain the main engineering constraint.
Fall and lift
On a valley-side plot the road connection, the tank and the house are often at three quite different levels, and not in the convenient order. Water frequently has to be lifted to reach storage, then pressurised again to reach the upper floors.
The mistake we are most often called to correct is a single large pump asked to do both jobs. It runs continuously against a head it was never sized for, uses a great deal of power, and fails early. Two stages, each specified for its own duty, is cheaper to run and lasts.
Gravity is not enough here
Householders reasonably assume that a tank above the house means gravity will do the work. On Kitisuru’s split levels the tank is often above part of the house and below the rest, so the top floor never gets adequate pressure. A modest booster on the upper circuit resolves it without touching the storage.
Access
The plots are generous but the driveways are steep and often tightly turned. Before quoting anything that needs a rig or an exhauster we look at the gradient and the turning circle, because a vehicle that cannot get back out is a worse problem than one that never came.
