Water Tank Installation in Nairobi: Overhead, Ground and Underground Storage

from KES 25,000

Storage is not optional in Nairobi

Mains supply across most of the city is rationed by day and by zone. Storage is what turns an intermittent supply into a working house, and the sizing question is simply: how many days do you want to be independent of the mains?

A useful rule for a Nairobi household is 150–200 litres per person per day, then multiply by the number of days you want in reserve. Three days is comfortable for most families.

What we install

  • Overhead poly tanks on a steel or masonry tower, gravity feeding the house
  • Ground-level poly tanks feeding a booster set
  • Underground concrete tanks where space is tight or the look matters
  • Combination systems: underground bulk storage, pumped to a smaller overhead tank

The parts people skip

Level controls, so the pump stops when the tank is full and does not run dry when it is empty. A washout at the base, because every tank silts up. An overflow that discharges somewhere sensible rather than into a wall. And an isolation valve at the outlet, so the next repair does not mean draining the whole tank.

Towers

An overhead tank full of water is a serious structural load. We will not put a tank on a tower or a slab we have not looked at, and where there is any doubt we say so rather than proceeding.
